I have decided to undertake yet another blogging adventure. I have experimented many times in the past with blogging, yet it always seems to fail. This one I am confident about though, as much of the time I will have lots to blog about.
Renos "R" Us will be a blog about my experiences with house renovations. My family seems to have really got into it, and it's been almost 5 years since we moved into a house that wasn't totally wrecked up when we first acquired it. It can be very tiresome and annoying sometimes, but for the most part it is a great and rewarding experience to live in a house that you helped fix up.
Now a bit about me.
I am currently 15 years old, and from the start of this madness I have been the one who mainly helps out my parents with work on the houses we've done. I won't give myself too much credit, as only now am I starting to do more, but even back then I was crawling around under houses, hauling dirt into the open using a little red wagon attached to a string. Those were some long and tiresome days, definitely not the fun stuff.
Aside from being 15, I am quite short for my age, which is the characteristic people seem to notice the most about me. My other interests involve music, which I believe is the best thing that ever happened to man, and writing (which is why my grammar isn't as atrocious as most kids these days). But I'll stick with house renovating in this blog.
Now I'm supposing you want a name? Maybe a picture? Well, I bet you'll see some of me in the many pictures that will be on this blog, but I'm hesitant to give you my name. I've gotta protect my identity, don't I? If you really want to know it, you can see my profile, but for now I'll provide my internet alias, Rex. That's what all my friends online call me, and this happens to be online, so why not?
I will now explain how this blog is going to be managed, though you'd figure it out soon enough.
The first couple days of each new project will be filled with posts detailing the house, the work that needs doing on it, pictures of the rooms and lists for what needs to be done, and about the project in general. After you have all the info about the house, there will be posts every day work is done on the project, which will give pictures and details about what the goals of the day were, what was accomplished, how much work was put into it, etc. When there's no project happening, I suppose the blog will be kind of slow, but I'll figure out some way to fill up those spaces. Right now we have two projects lined up, so we're safe for a while.
When a project has been completed, the major details and all the pictures of that project will be placed on an external source called, "The Flipendix", which has yet to be created. This includes the three projects that we've already completed.
Now that you know how everything works, it's onto the good stuff. Today we just dove into a new project, so we've got some good content already.
